super cute n fun :3
Holy shit it's pretty awesome!
very lovely! the visual language is clear enough for certain things to be understood without many explenations, especially the rolling tile. the design is really neat, and with a better undoing mechanic that retraces further and maybe other mechanics this game could be very neat as a finished product. keep it up!
Aw you can only undo once.
The game reminds me of Baba is You, in a good way
This is lovely! Really fun re-imagined version of sokoban <3
The art is great, sound effects are pleasing, and the levels are difficult. Great Job!
Nice sokoban game, with the innovation of dice mechenics
I like the concept, though I don't know where you found four-sided cubical dice.
I will say, though, that the lack of an undo key did me in. On level 8, I'd maneuvered most of the cubes in place and then accidentally hit an extra "up" that pushed the red cube against a wall. All I needed was "X to undo"; instead, faced with having to do the whole thing over again, quitting felt like a better idea.
just added a z to undo!
Cool! (Also, love the avatar.)
Good visual!
I will suggest to make movable blocks more distinct as I found it confusing
Such a clever take on sokoban! You managed to incorporate the theme as a twist into an existing game. I have two suggestions that I think will take your game much further though:
- Introduce the dice mechanic earlier on. I got stuck for a brief moment on level 3 and if I didn't know about the theme of the jam I would have closed my browser and dismissed it as just another sokoban game.
- Change the color of the blocks when they're on a pad. Some of the levels have blocks that spawn on pads and it becomes a game of surprises when you move a block only to find out that it was already on a pad. It would be a nice way to know up front where all the pads are as well should some blocks already be covering some pads.
Other than that the design here is incredible. I have a feeling you might just land up on the GMTK channel :)
This game is genuinely great
